Format - You will be scored by normal Mario Kart point scoring system in game for 8 races over the course of one hour. If there are any points ties within the top 4, any players caught in a points tie will play a one-race tiebreaker against the other player, with items off.

2 entrants – 25 points (20,5)
3-4 entrants – 50 points (30,10,5,5) + you get 10 points)
5-8 entrants – 100 points (50.30,10,10) + you get 10 points)
8-16 entrants – 200 points (100,50,25,25) + you get 10 points)
17-32 entrants – 500 points (250,120,40,40) + you get 20 points)
32-64 entrants - 1000 points (500,250,125,125) + you get 20 points)
1.1. Be ready on Discord at 7:00pm, the entry code will be provided on Discord at this time. You will need to be able to enter the tournament as soon as the time reaches 7:15pm in the U.K
1.2. You will be scored by normal Mario Kart point scoring system in game for 8 races over the course of one hour which allows for 7.5 minutes per race.
1.2.2. Nobody (not even the person that created the tournament) has direct control over the game lobbies so the game will start quickly after people start joining.
1.2.3. If there are any points ties within the top 4, any players caught in a points tie will play a one-race tiebreaker against the other player, with items off.
1.3. Make sure you join the tournament as soon as the clock strikes the tournament start time to make sure you are involved against other players.
1.3.1. If it looks like hardly anyone is in your lobby then you missed the first Player VS Player race and will do your first race against the Hard Mode CPU and whoever else was late.
1.4. Players may not have another person stand in for them during a match.
1.5. Players must have a name and logo that is agreed upon by Esports Scotland management and may not contain any offensive words or pictures (“offensive” to be determined by Esports Scotland management) and may not be too similar to any Pro teams.
1.6. All participants must be at least 13 years old to enter.
1.7. All players must report match results to Esports Scotland management, any disputes about results will be settled by Esports Scotland management and those decisions are final.
2 Match format
2.1. Races will be 150cc Grand Prix
2.2. You are scored for your first 8 races over the course of a one hour entry window.
2.3. Normal Items will be active.
2.4. All Vehicles are allowed
2.5. Smart Steering is not allowed.
2.6. Esports Scotland management may request replays from players for both admin and streaming purposes.
2.7. Any cheating will be punished by the entire team being disqualified. “Cheating” includes but is not limited to using in game exploits or bugs to gain an advantage.
2.8. Players must not engage in “soft play”. Soft play is defined as players communicating with each other to pre determine the match results. This will result in both players being disqualified.
2.9. Matches will be streamed on www.twitch.com/esportsscotland by Esports Scotland management.
2.10. If any players wish to stream the matches then they must ask permission from Esports Scotland management and there streaming account must be in good standing.
2.11. All decisions by Esports Scotland management are final.
3.1. Prizes will be official Nintendo merchandise.
3.2 Contact Tournament Manager for prize form.
3.3. Esports Scotland reserves the right to change or withdraw the prizes at any time.
